SHADES OF GREY....

No not the book ! My favourite colour, I have painted lots furniture in grey shades that always turn out a little blueish and I have never come close to the shade below-  in my eyes it the perfect .. and for the record I read the books a couple of months ago, its all a bit fun really-I don't see why people get so uptight about it, if you don't like it don't read it...

We are still feeling sorry for ourselves and headed off to the doctor this afternoon- best customers lately.. So once again no time to clean up some of my Vintage Shed stock to show off- but if I did I am sure the gorgeous demijohns would look a little like this...

I need a little help- I am not happy with the quality of my iphone pics and i need a new camera soon anyway so I can bore everybody with endless snaps of baby number 3.... any reccomedations would be greatly appreciated, budget is fairly moderate but could change after race 3 at mornington tomorrow.. Time to go I would hate to miss out on the kids movie RIO for the third time today... Simone xx

MONDAY BLUES..

Monday has brought us all a lovely dose of the flu, so there has not been a lot of productivity around here- I have so many things I want to do before this baby arrives.. making a quilt, some artwork, de-clutter my whole house and the time is quickly slipping away from me.. I have been collecting a few things for my solo venture at the Vintage Shed and hopefully I can give a few sneak peaks tomorrow..For now I will leave you with one of my favourite views in my home- featuring lots of things I have lovingly collected..

View from bedroom, snelling stool, chair dragged from a skip & reupholstered, vintage chest of drawers loaded with things collected over the years, and the glow of a lamp I love to have everywhere in the house..nothing in this photo I don't love.. Back soon, Simone xx

P.S thanks to my three already loyal followers, Tamarah, Rach & Jacinta - thanks girls it means a lot.. nice to know somebody is out there!

NEW BEGINNINGS..........

My very first post in what feels like a new home.. Some people may know me as a Vintage Girl , and I still am at heart, its just that know I am flying solo and scaling things down a little..

Although business is slowing down my life is not, my family- two gorgeous boys and 1 husband are expecting our 3rd baby in October, I work at the fabulous Vintage Shed in Tyabb.. My husband has his own business as a racehorse trainer which is a labour of love and a 7 day a week occupation...

So when I find some me time  I hope to share here some of my Vintage finds, interiors that inspire me, a little about family life, maybe even a few fashion posts.. there are no rules really are there? I can blog about whatever I like really! Hopefully there might be someone out there who finds my little ramblings of some interest..I love blogs and find them a great source of inspiration, hopefully I can do the same here..

the two little mess makers little men in my life
I will leave with a few snapshots of couple of things that I love...

These two on the right drive me close to insanity pretty much daily.. but they are defiantly the most important things in our life...

A totally different love but a love nevertheless! hydrangeas, especially when you put them in stoneware or enamel- my idea of a perfect match, this shot is from a little Christmas market that Vintage Girl had a stall at last year..

That's about all for today, I have a busy week coming up and can't wait to visit Life Instyle trade fair in the city..
